Attorney Steve Crislip Appointed Third Commissioner on WV’s Commission on Uniform State Laws

Governor James C. Justice has appointed Stephen R. Crislip, retired General Counsel for Jackson Kelly, to be a Commissioner on The West Virginia Commission on Uniform State Laws. The other members of the Commission are Professor Vincent P. Cardi of the West Virginia College of Law, and the Honorable Frederick P. Stamp, Senior United States District Court Judge.
West Virginia’s Commissioners have regularly and actively participated in the national Uniform Law Commission since 1909, and as required by West Virginia law since 1931. They submit selected uniform law proposals to the West Virginia Legislature for enactment as law, all of which is designed to promote uniformity in state laws.
