Jackson Kelly attorney to speak to the West Virginia Women Attorneys

Jackson Kelly Member Thomas J. Hurney, Jr. will address the West Virginia Women Attorneys on November 2, 2017. Mr. Hurney will speak about his grandmother, Lorraine Wall Hurney, who earned her law degree in 1938, and went on to be appointed the first woman Deputy Director of Immigration in 1960 in Philadelphia. West Virginia Women Attorneys’ mission statement is to “promote the welfare, interests and professional development of women attorneys, advance the honor and integrity of the legal profession by advocating principles of fairness and equality and champion justice for all individuals.”
