Jackson Kelly’s Labor and Employment Team is Growing

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Jackson Kelly PLLC’s labor and employment team is expanding, adding both new faces and new areas of specialty.  Jackson Kelly is pleased to announce Mark Dellinger, Jill E. Hall and Justin M. Harrison will join as Members in the Charleston, West Virginia, office. Mark, Jill and Justin bring with them decades of experience across a host of industries in labor and employment, employee benefits, and litigation.

Managing Member Ellen S. Cappellanti welcomed Mark, Jill and Justin, stating, “We are thrilled to have Mark, Jill and Justin join our ranks and expand our labor and employment team. We strive to provide our clients with superior representation, and the addition of attorneys of this caliber will ensure we continue to meet this goal.”

With a career spanning more than 20 years, Mark has built a solid practice focused on employment litigation and traditional labor law matters. A seasoned trial attorney, Mark has tried cases to verdict in state and federal courts and represented employers before various administrative agencies. He defends employers in cases involving all types of employment-related claims.  In Mark’s labor relations practice, he represents management in collective bargaining negotiations, arbitrations, and unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board.  The Best Lawyers in America®, Chambers USA and Super Lawyers® recognize Mark for his exemplary work in labor and employment law. He is a graduate of West Virginia University College of Law and Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina.

Jill practices at the state and federal level in the areas of employment law and employee benefits, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) and ERISA litigation. She writes extensively about these areas of the law and speaks frequently on employment-related topics. She also advises employers, insurers and third-party administrators on the requirements of the Affordable Care Act, and has extensive experience providing human resources counseling to employers. The Honorable Frederick P. Stamp, Jr. chose Jill to be his law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia – a fine start to any legal career. The Best Lawyers in America® recognized Jill for her work in Employee Benefits and ERISA.  She also has been identified as a Rising Star in Employment & Labor by West Virginia Super Lawyers®. Jill graduated Order of the Coif from West Virginia University College of Law, and graduated summa cum laude from Bethany College in Bethany, W.Va.

Justin joins Jackson Kelly with years of experience in labor and employment law, focusing on counseling employers and defending them against an array of discrimination and retaliation claims, including federal claims under the Fair Labor and Standards Act, the False Claims Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act, as well as state claims arising under the West Virginia Human Rights Act, the West Virginia Patient Safety Act, and the Wage Payment and Collection Act.  Justin assists employers with union organizing campaigns and elections, participates in contract negotiations, grievances and arbitrations and defends employers against unfair labor practice charges.  Justin has been recognized for his work by Chambers USA, and West Virginia Super Lawyers® recognized him as a Super Lawyer in Employment Litigation. A Mountaineer through and through, Justin received a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree and a law degree all from West Virginia University.
