Members Erin Vuljanic and Leah LaFramboise Featured on WEN Greater Pittsburgh Panel November 20

As part of WEN Greater Pittsburgh's three-part Educational Series during the month of November, Erin Vuljanic will serve as moderator of this one-hour legal panel on November 20, 2020. They will discuss court cases and legal updates in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Leah LaFramboise willl serve as one of three presenters who will each tackle pressing legislation and recent court cases in one of the three states impacting the oil and gas industry today. Topics will include rule of capture and Briggs vs. Southwestern Energy, current status of using the Marketable Title Act and the Dormant Mineral Act and Haught Family Trust v. Williamson and Appalachian Trail in Atlantic Coast Pipeline, LLC v. Cowpasture River Preservation Association, et. al.
The second half will focus on the in-house attorney perspective discussing with panelists how courts and legislative lag cause issues for companies across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and Colorado. Changes in the law have a real time impact on how companies move forward and negotiate transactions and as in-house counsel our panelist must evaluate the potential business risks.
