Aaron E. McQueen is a trial attorney with significant experience in the defense and trial of complex commercial litigation, including medical professional negligence, post-acute/skilled nursing and rehab hospital claims, product liability, toxic tort, construction, and employer intentional tort/workplace safety claims. He practices out of the Firm’s office in Akron, Ohio.
Aaron has built a successful practice with more than 20 years of experience as a litigation and trial lawyer, handling a wide variety of civil actions involving serious personal injury and wrongful death, high exposure property damage and commercial disputes and oil & gas litigation. Aaron's jury trial experience ranges from cases involving health care liability and medical professional negligence to product liability, toxic tort, and property disputes.
Aaron recently obtained defense jury verdicts in favor of physicians in weeklong trials of wrongful death and survivorship claims, one brought by the estate of a 38-year-old woman and the other brought by the estate of a 54-year-old male who each alleged medical negligence resulting in death. Aaron also recently obtained dismissal of several medical negligence and punitive damages claims brought against physicians related to a loss of limb following surgery and a pediatric case in which the parents of an 8-year-old child claimed permanent cardiopulmonary impairment and is currently engaged as lead defense counsel for skilled nursing facilities, rehab hospitals, medical directors, nursing home administrators and medical practitioners in the defense of nursing home litigation.
Aaron also has significant past experience defending industrial injury and employer intentional tort actions, as well as high exposure environmental and commercial litigation. He practices in state and federal courts in Ohio and WV and has been admitted pro hac vice in state and federal court in over 20 other states. Aaron’s health care practice includes defending skilled nursing/rehab hospitals in nursing home litigation, medical liability and professional negligence actions and other health care litigation, including wrongful death and survivorship actions and various catastrophic injury claims.
To his oil and gas clients, Aaron brings a level of experience that only being immersed in the industry can provide – before joining the Firm, Aaron served as in-house counsel for a large midstream oil and gas company, representing its commercial interests in the Utica and Marcellus Shales, and also including commercial and construction claims and litigation and representing the company in workplace and industrial injury claims.
Aaron has experience advising clients in commercial, corporate governance and real estate transactions, contract drafting, environmental, labor and employment, compliance and regulatory, and litigation management.
