With over 20 years of experience in health care, including experience as in-house counsel and member of senior administration at a health system charged with regulatory compliance, Alaina provides strategic, regulatory and operational advice to health systems, hospitals, and academic medical centers, as well as large national and regional physician organizations. Alaina is a trusted advisor on health information technology, HIPAA, 340B, compliance structure and governance, behavioral health services, certificate of need, provider-based clinics, fraud and abuse, and clinical research.
Recognizing that there is a myriad of federal and state regulatory agencies that health providers may be subject to, Alaina’s goal is to deliver clear, concise, no-nonsense advice to her clients. She is passionate about breaking down silos within health care organizations to promote access to safe, high-quality health care.
She also has had the opportunity to assist many healthcare related clients with data privacy and security compliance matters, including enterprise risk management, incident response, and preparation of triggered notices and submissions.
Alaina has most recently spoken nationally on pay for performance, compliance due diligence, and general counsel contracting topics. She has served in a leadership role within the American Health Lawyers Association and is also an active member of the Health Care Compliance Association.
When she is not busy working for her clients, Alaina is a huge Swiftie fan and a non-stop taxi driver to her two active teenage kids.
