Elizabeth "Betsy" S. Cimino is a Member in the Health Care industry group, focusing primarily on the defense of health care providers in health care litigation pertaining to medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and wrongful death and serious injury. She practices out of the Firm’s office in Charleston, West Virginia.
Betsy has spent years defending West Virginia physicians and hospitals in actions brought under the West Virginia Medical Professional Liability Act (MPLA). An accomplished litigator, Betsy has tried several MPLA cases involving family medicine, cardiology, surgery, and various nursing issues. She also has represented health care providers in disciplinary actions before the West Virginia Board of Medicine and the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses.
Betsy's sunny disposition may make her a pleasure to work with, but don't let that fool you - her work ethic makes her a formidable opponent. A competitor at heart, she does not know how to quit. Having once tried a case while eight-months pregnant, Betsy's stamina, drive, and dedication to her clients is without question.
When she's not in the courtroom, Betsy can be found at a pre-dawn boot camp class or cheering on her kids at their assorted sporting events (and then playing chauffeur).
