Ella Dunbar is Counsel in the Transactional Practice Group, focusing primarily on Business Law. She practices out of the Firm's office in Lexington, Kentucky.
Ella's business law background is wide-ranging, from intellectual property and administrative issues to research and software contracts, and more. She also has experience with research grants and contracts, reporting and research compliance issues, and advising on administrative and legal issues relating to research integrity, including but not limited to, supervision of internal investigations of research misconduct and oversight of conflict of interest management. She is able to utilize her broad variety of experience from her time in both private practice and the public sector to assist the Firm's clients.
Prior to joining Jackson Kelly, Ella worked as Assistant General Counsel for the University of Kentucky, specializing in research and intellectual property. Ella began her career as Counsel for the Lexington-based company, Big Ass Fans.
Ella graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2015. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky in English literature (2012) and Sociology (2020), graduating summa cum laude in both.
Away from the office, Ella loves trying new recipes, traveling, reading, and community service through Bluegrass Families First and the Junior League of Lexington.
