James R. Snyder is Counsel in the Environmental practice group, focusing primarily on litigation. He practices out of the Firm’s office in Charleston, West Virginia.
James now serves the Firm on an of counsel basis. Over the years, his practice focused on environmental law where he consulted coal companies, solid waste companies, petroleum retailers, and others in connection with common law and regulatory issues. He also represented these clients in administrative and court proceedings. Additionally, he previously maintained a practice in construction law and contracts and has substantial experience with West Virginia’s anti-trust and fair pricing laws.
James has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 1995. He has authored numerous articles on environmental and construction law, including the “West Virginia” chapter for the 50-State Public Constriction Contract, John Wiley & Sons, 1996; Fifty State Construction Lien and Bond Law; State-by-State Guide to Architect, Engineer, and Contractor Licensing; and the West Virginia Chapter ABA, State-by-State Guide to Construction and Design Law, Section of Real Property Probate and Trust Law, 2009.
