Jennifer L. Horan is an Associate practicing with the Litigation practice group, focusing primarily on commercial litigation. She practices out of the Firm's office in Lexington, Kentucky.
Her practice is primarily focused on construction and commercial litigation, but her prior federal clerkship experience allows her to assist on a wide range of litigation matters. Jennifer’s experience includes representing businesses in commercial disputes, business tort claims, oil and gas lease disputes, equine matters, and various construction disputes. In her construction practice, she represents owners, contractors, construction managers, design professionals and others in all stages of litigation.
Prior to joining Jackson Kelly, Jennifer spent several years clerking for two federal judges, which has given her a wide breadth of experience in a multitude of areas. She served as a judicial law clerk to The Honorable Barbara Milano Keenan with the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and to the Honorable Danny C. Reeves with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Jennifer is licensed to practice in Kentucky and Virginia.
Jennifer graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law, where she served as an articles and comments editor on the University of Richmond Law Review and was awarded the Order of the Coif. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in political science, with a minor in history, from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
In her free time, Jennifer likes to run, read, travel, and spoil her dog, Weller.
