Mary Bryson is an Associate with the Litigation practice group, focusing primarily on commercial litigation. She practices out of the Firm's office in Lexington, Kentucky.
Mary approaches the law from "all phases" when it comes to litigation. From handling alternative dispute resolution and managing independent caseloads, to drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and all forms of discovery, she is ready to assist her clients in all aspects. She has handled matters ranging from products liability and breach of contract to False Claims Act cases and all manner of appeals. Mary has helped obtain summary judgments and dismissals on behalf of several clients in federal court, and has assisted in trial preparation in both state and federal court.
Prior to her career in private practice, Mary completed clerkships with Judge Gregory N. Stivers of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky and Judge Eugene E. Siler, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She supported multiple district court trials under Judge Stivers, and assisted Judge Siler when sitting by designation in the Third, Ninth, and Eleventh circuits. Mary utilizes this federal court background in her practice, drawing on her experience with the broad range of cases she encountered during her clerkships.
Mary's experience and care of her clients has not gone unnoticed. She has been named "One to Watch" by Best Lawyers, and a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers.
She is a 2017 University of Kentucky College of Law graduate and received her undergraduate degree from Centre College in 2014 in History and Government. Outside the office, Mary is an avid sports fan, particularly of the UK Wildcats and Atlanta Braves, and enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her husband Andrew and their two dogs.
