Prior to joining Jackson Kelly, Michelle spent over 30 years as partner of a firm providing defense of primarily personal injury and professional liability claims, including a specialty in veterinary malpractice. She has defended high profile cases and assisted hospitals with sensitive issues, such as diversion. In addition to civil litigation, she represents professionals in disciplinary actions before the Colorado Medical Board, the Board of Nursing, and the State Board of Veterinary Medicine. She is a past President of the Colorado Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a national organization of experienced plaintiff and defense trial attorneys dedicated to preserving the 7th Amendment right to a civil jury trial and to promoting civility and professionalism in the practice. She brings with her extensive trial experience.
Michelle earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School in 1983. She is also a graduate of the Masters Advocates Programs from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Michelle received her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Colorado College in 1979.
