Nicklaus A. "Nick" Presley is a Member in the Renewable Energy and Utilities industry groups, focusing primarily on utility regulation. He practices out of the Firm’s office in Charleston, West Virginia.
Nick’s hard work and willingness to take on new challenges has helped him succeed as an attorney at Jackson Kelly, where he works with clients in the utilities sector on regulatory issues. He represents privately-owned gas, electric, and water utilities, among others, in a variety of proceedings before the Public Service Commission of West Virginia. Nick also works on commercial and transactional matters as a member of the Firm’s Business Law group.
Nick’s work ethic and passion for learning are highlighted by his educational achievements. Nick earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Marshall University in 2009, and his Master of Business Administration degree from the Marshall University Graduate School of Management in 2010. He graduated at the top of his class in both programs. Realizing he wanted to use his education and passion for learning to help others, Nick entered law school at the University of Cincinnati College of Law and earned his law degree in 2013.
When he isn’t busy providing clients with top-notch legal service, Nick helps out in the local Charleston community through Legal Aid of West Virginia, the United Way, and the American Heart Association. You can also find him managing a lemonade stand at Symphony Sunday each summer. He enjoys staying active and watching sports, especially baseball, attending NASCAR races, and cheering on the West Virginia University Mountaineers.
