Sean O'Rourke is Counsel in the Firm's Oil and Gas Industry Group, focusing primarily on land, mineral and properties law. He practices out of the Firm's office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Sean brings over a decade of varied experience to his clients in the oil and gas industries, from working as an in-house attorney for an oil and gas operator to project management for a nationwide land services company and experience as a Title Attorney for a regional law firm. Sean’s in-house experience provides him insight to the unique risks facing energy companies and allows him to provide practical and cost-effective solutions for his clients.
Sean utilizes his experience in complex title matters and real estate to assist clients and provide thorough analysis when preparing title opinions, navigating title defects, and negotiating real estate and oil and gas acquisitions/divestitures. His experience in transactional agreements and acquisition due diligence is key to supporting clients in real estate asset transactions. He also drafts, reviews and negotiates various real estate agreements and documents relating to oil and gas development.
His legal pursuits have taken him many places, including to Louisiana for his undergraduate studies, as well as interning in Florida and Virginia before settling down in the Pittsburgh area.
When he's not adding to the vast experience in the Oil and Gas Industry he already has, Sean spends his time with his wife and two daughters.
