JULY 1, 2018, IS THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT 2017 INJURY AND ILLNESS DATA TO OSHA

July 1, 2018, is the deadline for employers to electronically submit their injury and illness records to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”).  The July deadline requires that certain employers electronically submit their 2017 300A injury and illness logs. 

Previously, OSHA submitted a proposal to the Office of Management and Budget (“OMB”) with a proposal to eliminate the requirement that large establishments, those with 250 or more employees, electronically submit their establishment’s OSHA 300 log and 301 forms annually.  OSHA’s proposal is that large employers, like small employers, are only required to submit the 300A form on an annual basis.  Currently, OSHA’s electronic recordkeeping submission website is only equipped to accept the 2017 300A forms. 

The OSHA website to submit your OSHA 300A log by July 1, 2018, is located at:  https://www.osha.gov/injuryreporting/ita/.
